A lab for robot cybersecurity

In robotics, security is safety. A vulnerable robot is not a data-breach risk — it is a machine that can move, lift, drive or operate on a person while under an attacker's control. The Robot Cybersecurity Lab measures, discloses and improves the security of robots, and quantifies that thesis in the open — with live vulnerability data, severity scores and cited research.

Defense in depth

The same physicality that makes a robot flaw dangerous shows how to contain it — in layers. Harden the middleware (SROS2 / DDS-Security), verify the robot's own plans and watch for intrusion at runtime, then wrap both in disclosure, scoring and standards — so no single failure reaches the actuators unchecked.

Coordinated disclosure

Found a flaw in a robot? We notify the manufacturer first, allow time to remediate, then record the confirmed flaw — scored (RVSS) and machine-readable — in the Robot Vulnerability Database. Open a report in the RVD; responsible disclosers are credited.
